Pak Navy foils Indian submarine's interruption endeavor in Pakistani waters
Lahore—The nation’s Navy foiled an
attempt by an Indian submarine INS Cheal to enter the waters of Pakistan’s
territorial waters, the Pakistan Navy said in a statement.
The Indian submarine targeted the
small Pakistani Army helicopter, which was conducting security objectives in
the near vicinity of Pakistan Navy facilities, the ISPR said.
“…the indigenous helicopter had a
close encounter with Indian submersible craft at a distance of fewer than 200
meters and returned successfully.”
The Indian submarine submerged in
the Galiwi Sea far below zero altitudes, and the Indian Ocean waters near
Pakistan’s coasts.

“Although the submarines’
nuclear-powered attack submarines did not enter into Pakistani waters due to
Pakistan Navy’s effective defense mechanism, the operation is a matter of
immense pride for the nation and prime minister,” said the ISPR.
It said the Indian Army submarine
was monitoring the surface and Marine Forces.
The Indian submersible craft was
equipped with AI technology, advanced navigation, and SNR sensors, it said.
Further, the statement said:
“Unfortunately, the submarine was unable to enter into Pakistan’s waters due to
the timely action of Pakistan Navy.”
